Living God

Hi fellow youngies

Welcome to the Living God blog.

Feel free to post, comment, encourage and motivate us all.

Ever since hearing the theme to this years youngies camp I've been surprised by how times I've seen the phrase "Living God" used in scripture. Maybe it was used in scripture to highlight the difference between idols and our God who is alive and active.

I thought I'd share some scriptures I've read lately around the theme.

No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
(1 John 4:12-15 NLT)

If anyone needs some proof that God is alive then the Spirit is it!

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT)

Christ lives on earth today through us. He's multiplied himself over and over again.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. (Hebrews 4:12 NLT)

So many times I've read that scripture but not realised that quick means ALIVE. How true is the Word!

Got something to share?😉
